Main Responsibilities as a Development Manager
The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of designated developments. They will coordinate staff, contractors, and resources to deliver high-quality service in accordance with management contracts, tenancy agreements, and service level agreements. Additionally, they will ensure asset management routines, including contract, risk, and mobilisation management, are completed promptly and efficiently.
Mobilisation
- Liaise with key stakeholders (clients, agents, business teams, employees).
- Ensure mobilisation tasks are completed, recorded, and enhance customer experience.
- Delegate tasks and track progress.
- Report on mobilisation stats and drive improvements.
Risk & PPM Management
- Oversee risk and PPM compliance, liaising with clients, contractors, and customers.
- Maintain audit trails and certification records.
- Monitor compliance levels and implement improvements.
Contract Management
- Ensure contracts are tendered, implemented, and recorded.
- Work with teams and contractors to maintain appropriate contract schedules.
- Assist in tendering to ensure value for money.
Team Management
- Foster an engaged, high-performing team.
- Manage team cover, holidays, absences, and performance.
- Conduct regular reviews and appraisals.
- Oversee payroll, recruitment, and grievance processes.
- Ensure mandatory training is completed.
Customer Service
- Provide enthusiastic, empathetic service internally and externally.
- Handle calls, emails, and complaints professionally.
- Promote customer service values within the team.
Health & Safety
- Use smart tech to enhance safety routines.
- Keep sites and workplaces safe.
- Track, inspect, and audit safety measures.
- Support colleagues’ physical and mental wellbeing.
Financial Management
- Support financial oversight, staying mindful of budgets.
